Finance Your Cities
The “Finance Your Cities” platform is a global initiative, pioneered by FMDV, which aims to increase the impact of transformative systems and support the localization of financing for sustainable urbanization and territorial development.
Finance Your Cities offers four action levers. Operational country programs, to create space for dialogue, increase capacities of public authorities, prepare and support action.
An annual conference that represents a strategic and policy forum, a solutions forum and an action forum. Annual innovation awards to promote solutions led by public and private institutions towards local finance.
A publication and various video resources to highlight trends, inspiring experiences and give voice to the urban finance value chain, for a sustainable, resilient and just urban transition.

Finance Your Cities in-Country Programs
Finance Your Cities in-Country Program deploys a specific methodology to ensure the enabling/conducive environment for urban financing is renewed or stregthened (each component is adaped to the national context and advancements on the topic).
The main objective of the in-country programs are to support local and national governments to financially plan, commit and report on national strategies, action plans and dynamics aligned with the implementation of global agendas for sustainable cities and regions, including the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda.
